ABUS Garage Door Contact
Product Description
The garage door contact for heavy doors is a magnetic contact with which larger doors (e.g. garages) are secured. Unauthorised opening is detected and reported to the wireless alarm centre. The garage door contact for heavy doors is mainly installed on roller, sliding and tilting doors. The detector consists of a magnetic contact (reed) and a magnet. These are installed parallel to each other. The circuit of an NC opening detector is closed in the rest state. When the distance between the reed and the magnet increases, the circuit is interrupted and an alarm signal is given. The detector is protected against sabotage. The optimum location for installation is in the middle of the driveway. The reed contact is mounted on the floor, the magnet - at a distance of approx. 20 mm - on the inside of the door. The garage door contact for heavy doors is very well suited for surface mounting. It is absolutely water and dust-proof (IP 68). Thanks to its extremely robust housing, the detector is resistant to damage from being driven over.
