Product Description
MotionProtect is a wireless motion detector designed for indoor use. It can operate for up to 5 years from a built-in battery and monitors the area within a radius of 12 meters. MotionProtect ignores animals, while it recognizes a human from the first step.
MotionProtect Plus uses radio frequency scanning together with a thermal sensor, filtering out interference from thermal radiation. Can last up to 5 years from a built-in battery.
MotionProtect (MotionProtect Plus) works within the Ajax security system, connected to the hub via the protected Juwelier protocol. The communication range is up to 1700 (MotionProtect Plus up to 1200) meters in the field of view. In addition, the detector can be used as a component of third-party security control panels via the Ajax uartBridge or Ajax ocBridge Plus integration modules.
The detector is set up via the Ajax app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. The system notifies the user of all events via push notifications, SMS and calls (if activated).
The Ajax security system is self-sufficient, but the user can connect it to the central monitoring station of a security company.
More features
MotionProtect Thermal PIR sensor detects intrusion into a protected space by detecting moving objects whose temperature is close to the human body temperature. However, the detector can ignore pets if the correct sensitivity is chosen in the settings.
In addition, when MotionProtect Plus detects motion, it will perform radio frequency scans of the room, preventing false operation due to thermal interferences: air flows from sun-heated curtains and louvered shutters, operating thermal air fans, fireplaces, air conditioning units, etc.
Once activated, the armed detector immediately sends an alarm signal to the hub, activates the sirens and alerts the user and the security company.
If the detector has detected motion before the system is armed, it will not be armed immediately, but during the next investigation by the hub.
