The Power Over Ethernet PoE Splitter is an adapter that allows for the conversion of 12V DC powered IP cameras to PoE IP cameras. Typically, IP cameras are PoE and have an integrated PoE board that allows the camera to accept power from an 802.3af/at compliant PoE switch. For cameras that do not have an integrated PoE power board and require 12V DC power, this adapter allows the user to convert the cameras to PoE so that they can accept power from a PoE or PoE+ switch.

When used with a PoE+ switch, this adapter will allow up to 1A of 12V DC power output from the 2.1mm standard CCTV plug, and it will support 10/100Mbps network connection.
