One of the most powerful NVRs from the UNIVIEW product range, the NVR824-256R. This recorder offers the possibility to connect, view and record up to 256 IP cameras in a resolution of 12MP.

This NVR is supplied in a 19 housing with a height of 4U. This makes it easy to place in a 19" rack, preferably a server rack because of the depth (53.3 cm). In the housing of this recorder, 24 hard drives can be used (3.5 inch) for storing video images. Each hard drive may have a maximum size of 10Tb, allowing a total capacity of 240Tb!

This model also supports RAID configurations (0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60) in combination with multiple hard drives, which increases the guarantee of stored images and immediately loses them in the event of a hard drive failure. This NVR also supports UNV ANR technology, where images can be stored on an SD card in the camera in the event of a temporary connection failure and are also stored on the NVR when the connection is restored.

This recorder can also be expanded with numerous additional options. For example, it is possible to place an additional power supply to make the recorder redundant (not included). In addition, there are also expansion cards available that make it possible to expand the number of HDMI outputs. The model is equipped with 2 HDMI outputs and a VGA output as standard. The HDMI outputs can be programmed separately to show different image displays.
